Messianic Prophecies

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people.

I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; a Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and batter the brow of Moab, and destroy all the sons of tumult.

The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear.

I will declare the decree: the Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You.

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning?

For dogs have surrounded Me; the congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet.

They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.

He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken.

Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

They also gave me gall for my food, and for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.

The Lord has sworn and will not relent, You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.

And they made His grave with the wicked — but with the rich at His death, because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth.

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, lowly and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Then I said to them, If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain. So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming, says the Lord of hosts.

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying.

But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you shall come a Ruler who will shepherd My people Israel.

And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.

For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, Not one of His bones shall be broken.

Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne.

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to your Seed, who is Christ.

Then I said, Behold, I have come — in the volume of the book it is written of Me — to do Your will, O God.

Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you.
