Praise & Worship

And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you."

Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord.

And I bowed my head and worshiped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the way of truth to take the daughter of my master's brother for his son.

And it came to pass, when Abraham's servant heard their words, that he worshiped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth.

And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, "Now I will praise the Lord." Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing.

"Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father's children shall bow down before you."

So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

"It is the Passover sacrifice of the Lord, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households." So the people bowed their heads and worshiped.

The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father's God, and I will exalt Him.

"Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?"

Now He said to Moses, "Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from afar."

All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.

So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.

For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a praise to the Lord.

He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.

"And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O Lord, have given me." Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God.

And that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.

So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord say to His servant?"

"Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes! I, even I, will sing to the Lord; I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel."

And so it was, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream and its interpretation, that he worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel, and said, "Arise, for the Lord has delivered the camp of Midian into your hand."

This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the Lord of hosts in Shiloh.

Then they rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord, and returned and came to their house at Ramah.

"Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord." So they worshiped the Lord there.

So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord.

So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped.

"The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation!"

But the Lord, who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall offer sacrifice.

And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the Lord God of Israel.

For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods.

Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!

And say, "Save us, O God of our salvation; Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles, To give thanks to Your holy name, To triumph in Your praise."

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! And all the people said, "Amen!" and praised the Lord.

Four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand praised the Lord with musical instruments, "which I made," said David, "for giving praise."

To stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening.

"Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name."

You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and everything on it, the seas and all that is in them, and You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.

For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chiefs of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.

But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.

He has put a new song in my mouth — Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.

Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.

Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.

O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name. Selah

But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more.

How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

All nations whom You have made Shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And shall glorify Your name.

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods.

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.

Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits.

Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.

Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord! Blessed be the name of the Lord From this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord's name is to be praised.

Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord.

I will praise You with my whole heart; Before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created.

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.

Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

And in that day you will say: "O Lord, I will praise You; Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me."

And in that day you will say: "Praise the Lord, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted."

O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise from the ends of the earth, You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, You coastlands and you inhabitants of them!

This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord.

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise.

Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For He has delivered the life of the poor From the hand of evildoers.

The voice of those who will say: "Praise the Lord of hosts, For the Lord is good, For His mercy endures forever" — and of those who will bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord.

Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the entrance to this gateway before the Lord on the Sabbaths and the New Moons.

"I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You."

And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.

You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.

God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise.

The Lord will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations.

"At that time I will bring you back, Even at the time I gather you; For I will give you fame and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I return your captives before your eyes," says the Lord.

And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"

And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.

"And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

And Jesus answered and said to him, "Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen.

And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

Then he said, "Lord, I believe!" And he worshiped Him.

So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

"Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples!"

What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.

To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
