So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom , that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. | |

And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom , in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, | |

“And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you: | |

And all the women whose hearts stirred with wisdom spun yarn of goats’ hair. | |

and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, | |

Building the Tabernacle “And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the Lord has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the Lord has commanded.” | |

The People Give More than Enough Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom , everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work. | |

Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ | |

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom , for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses. | |

Solomon Requests Wisdom Now Solomon made a treaty with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and married Pharaoh’s daughter; then he brought her to the City of David until he had finished building his own house, and the house of the Lord , and the wall all around Jerusalem. | |

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had rendered; and they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to administer justice. | |

Prosperity and Wisdom of Solomon’s Reign Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing. | |

And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. | |

Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. | |

And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom , came to hear the wisdom of Solomon. | |

So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom , as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together. | |

He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a bronze worker; he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill in working with all kinds of bronze work. So he came to King Solomon and did all his work. | |

Death of Solomon Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, all that he did, and his wisdom , are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon? | |

Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God. | |

To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding, | |

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. | |

So that you incline your ear to wisdom , And apply your heart to understanding; | |

For the Lord gives wisdom ; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; | |

Happy is the man who finds wisdom , And the man who gains understanding; | |

The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; | |

Get wisdom ! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. | |

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom . And in all your getting, get understanding. | |

My son, pay attention to my wisdom ; Lend your ear to my understanding, | |

Say to Wisdom , “You are my sister,” And call understanding your nearest kin, | |

The Call of Wisdom Does not wisdom cry out, And understanding lift up her voice? | |

To do evil is like sport to a fool, But a man of understanding has wisdom . | |

When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom . | |

He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, But a man of understanding holds his peace. | |

By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom . | |

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way, But the folly of fools is deceit. | |

Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding, But what is in the heart of fools is made known. | |

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness. | |

Folly is joy to him who is destitute of discernment, But a man of understanding walks uprightly. | |

How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. | |

Why is there in the hand of a fool the purchase price of wisdom , Since he has no heart for it? | |

The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook. | |

There is no wisdom nor understanding Nor counsel against the Lord. | |

Whoever keeps the law is a discerning son, But a companion of gluttons shames his father. | |

Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure. | |

The wise men are ashamed, They are dismayed and caught; Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord; So what wisdom do they have? | |

Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom , Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; | |

He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom , And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion. | |

As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom ; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. | |

Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His: | |
